Hyundai Ioniq 5 EVs rolling into local dealerships

Hyundai's Ioniq 5 SUV.hatch is arriving at your local dealership in states that have a zero-emissions mandate and several others like Arizona, Washington, etc. A full nationwide roll-out will happen later this year into 2023. My local dealer has 34 8 Ioniq 5s either on the lot or in transit, but even with these numbers, many dealers are requiring a large mark-up to purchase. That should die down soon with volume sales. The Ioniq 5 is an almost "right-sized" vehicle that is truly attractive in person, but some of the details can make the look a bit busy. The pixel theme is cute but could get old. I guess it depends on how you spec your Ioniq 5. There are six exterior colors available (Phantom Black (Pearl), Cyber Gray (Metallic), Atlas White (Solid), Digital Teal (Green Pearl), Lucid Blue (Pearl), Shooting Star (Gray Matte). The interior has three color options Obsidian Black Monotone, Dark Pebble Gray/Dove Gray, Dark Teal/Dove Gray. If you order the optional Shooting Star matte finish, Hyundai provides a cleaning kit for proper maintenance (see owner video after the media release). Interior features include a broad screen with two image areas, a moveable center console, heads-up display, eco-friendly materials, Bose sound, and much more. Hyundai's full safety and tech suites are on hand as well including various driving-assistance functions and more. The VTL function allows you to use your vehicle as a battery to run equipment ,etc. with a special unit (optional) that plugs in to the charging port. If the whole mark-up sales "thing" can be cleared up, Hyundai should sell a lot of these. In the video and other posts I've seen folks have been going out of their states to get cars priced at sticker (around $50k depending on equipment) so it is possible to get the price you can live with. Oh and did I mention that specced properly the Ioniq 5 can get around 300 miles of range and offers free charging at Electrify America for two years?
