Buick points toward it's future with the premium 2021 Envision SUV/CUV

Buick has kinda been on a roll of late especially in China, Buick's biggest market. The new 2021 Envision premium SUV (CUV?) will only improve said roll. The Envision is a looker and not your grandmother's Buick either. When the Envision arrives early next year (as a 2022 maybe?) it will include Buick's (and GM's) latest tech. a turbo four mated to a nine-speed automatic, available all-wheel drive, available Avenir luxury trim, and much more. Final specifications will be announced closer to the Envision's introduction. The body side sculpting, lower greenhouse, and Mercedes-esque grille are nice. Wouldn't this make a nice EV or at least a hybrid? GM does have the tech in-house to make it happen and the Buick brand could use the model-line update. Check back for more info later this year.

Buick Strengthens Premium SUV Lineup with 2021 Envision
Striking new design and Avenir trim among updates

Customers seeking Buick’s styling and refinement within the industry’s most popular segments will have another fresh choice when the 2021 Envision arrives early next year.

“The all-new 2021 Envision is part of Buick’s strategy to grow its family of premium SUVs,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC. “It joins the new 2020 Encore GX, which offers safety, functionality and styling tailored around the size and space preferences of today’s small and compact SUV buyers.”

The new Envision will also be purposefully contented with standard active safety technologies, such as:

• Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning*
• Forward Collision Alert*
• Following Distance Indicator*
• Rear Park Assist*
• Safety Alert Seat*

Buick’s popular premium Avenir trim will be available on the 2021 Envision for the first time.

The 2021 Envision will also offer Buick’s first available 10-inch diagonal touchscreen infotainment system, and it will include in-vehicle apps, such as Amazon Alexa built-in1, Spotify, Pandora and Fox Sports. Projection features Apple CarPlay2 and Android Auto3 will also be included.

The Envision will be powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine and a nine-speed transmission.

More details for the Envision, including for its Avenir trim, will be revealed later this year.
